Question: How can I change the account number currently charged on my service unit billing?
Answer: Complete the "account change only" area of a Utilities Service Request Form and submit it to Utilities Services. The "Comments" area on this form can also be used for a more detailed explanation.
Question: Currently I pay department utility bills. How do I process a change for Utilities Services to begin making payments?
Answer: Complete a Utilities Service Request Form, and submit it to Utilities Services. Utility personnel will contact the supplier with the changes. Bills will then be sent directly to Utilities Services and recharged to your account monthly.
Question: How do I have utilities turned on or off at my University leased space?
Answer: Complete a Utilities Service Request Form, and submit it to Utilities Services. Utility personnel will contact the supplier with the changes. Bills will then be sent directly to Utilities Services and recharged to your account monthly.

Question: Natural gas charges are 2 months behind on the statement of activity, why?
Answer: Buildings on campus are serviced with natural gas purchased on a contract from bulk gas suppliers. MichCon transports natural gas to University buildings, reads building meters and bills in a summary billing. This process creates a time lapse of 2 months. For example, April gas charges are on June statement of account.

Answer: Contact us via e-mail Utilities Web (get address) (38.107.191.111), or call (734) 764-2492, and request a meter check with the correct supplier (Utilities Services or outside vendor).
Question: Do University buildings have a central temperature control for heating and air conditioning?
Answer: Yes, call the Plant Operations Call Center at (734) 647-2059 with any problems.
